Tiny Newspapers
Sunday, June 28th, 2009 | Business, Buzz, Life, Local, News | No Comments
What has happened to the daily newspapers? They are shrinking to almost nothing in them. The Tennessean newspaper has almost no classified ads, very little news written by local writers or reporteres and yet they want to charge 75 cents for this tiny paper. The Sunday Tennessean is not much better for the $1 they are charging. It is mostly printed ads and coupons – the newspaper itself is pathetic.
No wonder the Tennessean newspaper is going bankrupt. They aren’t putting out anythign worth buying.
Happy Birthday
Monday, February 9th, 2009 | Family, Life | No Comments
Today is my sisters birthday and I know she is not happy about it. If she had her way there would be no more birthdays, you pick how old you want to be and you stayed right there, forever. Well Sis I am sorry but Happy Birthday and your gift is in the mail you should get it today. The black roses were your brothers idea and I do not take credit for that. Love you and hope that you have a good day, talk to you tonight.
Ground Hog
Monday, February 2nd, 2009 | Food and Dining, Holiday's, Life | No Comments
The ground hog has seen his shadow and predicts six more weeks of winter. I think we need to grind up that hog and make some sausage and have a ground hog dinner like we used to do when I was little. I remember the pancakes and sausage it was a huge event in our little town in Western Oklahoma. We needed an event to help us get through the harsh winters and a community wide dinner to celebrate Ground Hog day was huge. I vote for the same here to help us get through the very mild winters we need an event and this one seems like a winner to me.
A new game

Less than a week into the first term of our new President, I must ask why are they planning to sped all of our money to bail out failing companies? Let them fail a new and better run company will take their place. If we keep propping up these failing companies we will spend all the time and money that is needed else where in our government. I know a lot of people will not agree with me but thats fine. I say let them fail. The country and all of our pocket books will be better off if we do.
Hockey night
Monday, January 19th, 2009 | Family, Life, Sports | No Comments
Last night we took our grandson David to a Nashville Predators hockey game and he had a blast, we got him all sugared up on soda and cotton candy then sent him home. A mothers best gift to her daughters is to spoil her grand children and then send them home, it makes my heart sing to watch my kids toil with their children like I did with them. The is revenge at times and it makes me very happy. And to top it off we won the hockey game in overtime so a very good night for all involved.
